Cave Tours
Begin your day in the caves
Or end your day in the caves! Cave tours start at set-times throughout the day. Once your tour has been reserved, you’ll have a great sense of how to plan the rest of your day.
Spiral tour
Our most popular family tour, the Spiral Tour is a guided, educational walking tour for families and beginning cavers. Descend to the bottom of the largest single cave chamber in California! The open area inside the chamber is, in fact, tall enough to hold the Statue of Liberty (pedestal excluded).
Expedition Crawling
& Spelunking tour
Our Expedition Tour is an experience you will remember for the rest of your life! THIS IS NOT AN EASY, WALKING TOUR! Most areas of this tour are undeveloped parts of the cave which means there are no lights, stairs, or walkways on this tour. Instead, visitors daringly explore by climbing and belly crawling with lighted helmets to find their way!
Are you ready to cave?
Comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket, and your sense of adventure!
To see how to prepare for your trip, view the Expedition Preparation Guide This activity does require a release of liability waiver. Save time! Click here to read, fill out and sign our release of liability waiver before you arrive.
Wear comfortable clothing: jeans or shorts will do. Make sure your shoes have good traction – sneakers or hiking boots are ideal. Bring a light jacket – even in the heat of a California summer, the temperature in the cave is a pleasant 61 degrees.
Due to the vertical nature of our cavern and our concern for guest and guide safety, we must limit what guests can bring on our tours. Backpacks, bags, purses, water bottles, food, drinks or camera attachments such as tripods, selfie sticks, and extra lenses will not be allowed in the cave. We want to make sure that everyone is safe as these items could be dropped into the cavern resulting in serious injury to another guest. Guests with special needs may bring necessary items at the discretion of the supervisor on duty. Our first-aid kits inside the cavern contain water for emergency purposes.

Moments into memories
Panning for gems
Just like miners used to pan for gold during the California Gold Rush of the 1800’s, relive what it was like to be a prospector and pan for your very own gemstone collection at our Sluice. Everyone is guaranteed to find some! Panning for sluice is fun for the whole family, and kids get a kick out of finding their own souvenirs to bring home.
Souvenir shopping
We travel yearly to the Arizona Gem and Mineral show and bring back amazing minerals, fossils and rocks from around the world. Rock hounds can choose from a wide range of small gemstones and fascinating fossils, to huge amethyst cathedrals.
